Carbon monoxide (CO) is an odorless, tasteless and colorless gas that is a poison to the body if inhaled. Headache, dizziness, muscle pain and neuropsychological effects are seen in patients with mild exposures. Those with higher levels of poisoning typically become disoriented and may lead to death.
