LECANTO, Fla. — The American Ambulance Association presented Tommy J Dawiczkowski, a critical care paramedic (CCP) working with Nature Coast EMS, with an official Star of Life award at the Association’s signature Stars of Life event in Washington D.C. This special event honors the dedication of ambulance services professionals all over America. While there, Tommy toured D.C. and met with Florida’s senators and representatives.
Tommy Dawiczkowski has been working with Nature Coast EMS since 2003 starting as an EMT, EMT field training officer and moving quickly up the ranks to paramedic, company leader and exemplary company volunteer. Tommy is a go to resource for representing the company at stand-by events, volunteer community service projects and as continuous education faculty. Today, Tommy also serves Nature Coast EMS as a senior paramedic and a paramedic FTO, who acts as a mentor to his peers.
Tommy participates in the Critical Care Paramedic program at Nature Coast EMS. He is an EMT adjunct instructor, who offers hands on practical skills instruction for fellow medics. He is also a credentialed member of the company’s disaster strike team. Recently, Tommy was instrumental in developing Nature Coast EMS’ SWAT Paramedic Team. Due to his efforts, Nature Coast EMS is further aligned with local law enforcement (Sherriff’s Department).
Outside of the organization, Tommy is the Assistant Director for the Salvation Army Emergency Response Team and a members of Eagles club, a not for profit Christian Organization.
