COVID-19, Hurricanes Not Stopping Training at Wake County EMS (NC)

COVID-19 isn’t stopping, and neither is the threat of hurricane season. That’s why Wake County EMS (NC) keeps on training.

Even if it looks a little different than usual. Like many Emergency Medical Service providers across the country, Wake County EMS moved it’s training online, WTVD-TV reports.

Assistant Chief Jeffrey Hammerstein tells the station not going into small classrooms where germs can spread is the right thing to do.

Hammerstein says he hopes the department moves back to hands-on training soon. But in the meantime, it’s important to keep their skills sharp for whatever may come their way.
