Anthony Cascio has over 23 years of EMS experience including volunteer, fire based, private, and hospital based. Of which, 19 years as an ALS provider including ground critical care, flight (fixed and rotor), and tactical. In addition, he has 14 years of EMS operational and clinical administrative experience. Academically, he graduated from the University of Maryland Baltimore County with a Bachelor of Science in 1997 (Emergency Health Services, Paramedic Track) and Master of Science in 2014 (Emergency Health Services, Administration, Policy, and Planning Track). He currently works for Virtua EMS a regional, hospital based, ALS-fly car system as the Director of Quality, Education, and Training. There he leads the department’s clinical quality and safety, EMT and Paramedic Schools, AHA Training Center, Simulation Lab, eLearning Division, medical oversight for partner BLS agencies, and EMS Education. In addition, he still functions as a staff paramedic at least one shift per week.
