The Prehospital Immediate Care and Trauma (PICT) team won the Emergency Services Hero of the Year award at the 2022 Highland Heroes event last month.
The group responds to scenes where major trauma occurs to provide advanced care, thus extending the capabilities of the Scottish Ambulance Service.
