AMR EMT Terry Brannam checks a blood pressure at Comic-Con with a little help from some friends. Comic-Con is the world’s largest gathering of comic and popular arts culture, and has been held in San Diego, Calif., since its inception in 1970. The convention, spread out over a week, draws upwards of 130,000 people to the downtown area for the convention and a host of additional programming and parties. EMS coverage continues around the clock. San Diego Fire-Rescue Department, AMR, and San Diego Police Department collaborate closely to make sure event attendees enjoy “The Con” safely.
