Members of Pasco County Fire Rescue were honored for a successful cardiac arrest call earlier this summer.

The crew from Station 25 were recognized Monday at AdventHealth Zephyrhills. On July 23, medics were dispatched to a call involving a man in cardiac arrest. Medics were eventually able to obtain return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) on the patient.

The patient, only identified as Carlos, ultimately walked out of the hospital with no deficits, officials said.

The 911 dispatcher was also honored at the ceremony, which brought together the patient, his wife, the catheterization laboratory and intensive care unit teams, as well as the patient’s cardiologist.
