Scary moments on Tuesday at the Brick Township (NJ) Police Department.
EMT Katelyn Lammer was stationed to screen people entering town hall, she began to choke on her food. She could not clear her own airway, and that’s when things got scary. Luckily, officers working the front desk sprang into action.

In this video, Katelyn is seen going to the window for help, where Sgt. Josh Jenssen signals to those near the door who can get out to help her. Sgt. Austin Kenny and Sgt. Charlie Kelly are the first out the door and Sgt. Kelly quickly resorts to a series of abdominal thrusts to clear a complete airway obstruction.
