PARIS, Texas (KXII) – Paris paramedics are mourning the loss of one of their own after a fatal accident over the weekend. On Sunday morning, Paris EMS was called to a motorcycle accident on Southeast Loop 286. The bike had collided with a van and the rider wasn’t breathing. Fellow Paris paramedic Joe Howard was pronounced dead a short time later. Co-workers describe Howard, a ten-year Paris EMS veteran, as a family man who enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
