Two Detroit medics and a firefighter were sent to the hospital Friday after their ambulance was struck by a car while they were transporting a burn victim, according to a report.

The three were tending to the burn victim in the back of the ambulance when it was hit and flipped on its side, Deputy Fire Commissioner Dave Fornell told the Detroit News.

The medics and firefighter were taken to the hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening. The burn victim was also taken to the hospital. That person’s condition is not known.
