UPPER YODER, CAMBRIA COUNTY (WTAJ) – Janice Livingston, an paramedic with the West End Ambulance Association was responding to a crash when she was struck and killed by a truck.  The crash happened just after 9:30 this morning on Route 271 in Upper Yoder Township between Fender Lane and Meadow Drive.

The flag is at half staff at the ambulance station in honor of Livingston. Today, a family that routinely saves lives comes together to mourn a loss of one of their own.  When Livingston was struck she was responding to two other accidents along Menoher Boulevard according to Cambria County Coroner Dennis Kwiatkowski, “During the work that they were doing on the scene a coal bucket came down and on the icy roadway basically plowed through the emergency scene, hitting one of the emergency scene technicians.”
