Patient Dies After Ambulance Crash in Winston-Salem (NC)

A patient being transported in an ambulance has died after a crash Tuesday morning on Silas Creek Parkway.

According to Winston-Salem Police, a Jeep Cherokee crossed the median in the 6600 block of Silas Creek Parkway around 10 a.m. and collided head-on with a Forsyth County EMS ambulance, WFMY reports.

The patient inside the ambulance did not survive, but it remains unclear whether their death was a direct result of the crash. Three other individuals were injured in the incident and were transported to a local hospital.
