A Boston EMS employee has tested positive for COVID-19, the union said on Twitter.

“This underscores the danger that our members face everyday as we fight on the front lines of this pandemic,” according to a Twitter post on Monday.
“Our members will continue to fulfill their sworn duty to protect the people of Boston, and their union will continue to fight to make sure they have the proper personal protective equipment and the best possible medical care should they get sick or injured,” it continued.
Meanwhile, a firefighter paramedic with the Vista Fire Department has tested positive for the coronavirus this weekend, according to a report by FOX 5 San Diego.
The department said it received confirmation of the firefighter paramedic’s positive diagnosis on Friday and the individual was in self-isolation at home on Saturday.
