Las Cruces (NM) Ambulance Hit by Alleged Drunken Driver, Rolls Over

An ambulance responding to a call Thursday evening was hit by an alleged drunken driver and rolled.

The crash happened after nightfall, according to a Las Cruces Police Department spokesperson, at the intersection of Amador Avenue and Water Street. Impact from the the other driver caused the ambulance to roll on its side.


No injuries were reported and no patients were being transported in the ambulance at the time of the incident.

Doña Ana County jail records show a 22-year-old man from Alamogordo was arrested just before 9 p.m. Thursday at Water and Amador on misdemeanor charges of driving while intoxicated and running a stop sign.
