First Responder Fitness Expert Bryan Fass Suddenly Dies

Bryan Fass, ATC, LAT, CSCS, EMT-P (ret.), a renowned fitness author and speaker in the fire and EMS world, suddenly died at his North Carolina home, family members said.

His sister confirmed his passing on a Facebook post. Known as a leading expert on public safety injury prevention, Fass wrote for Fire Engineering and JEMS, and was a presenter at FDIC International and EMS Today.

Additionally, his company Fit Responder worked with departments around the nation to reduce injuries and improve fitness for first responders, according to his website.

Fitness author and speaker Bryan Fass will be laid to rest this Thursday.

Fass earned a bachelor’s degree in sports medicine and had over 17 years of clinical practice, was a paramedic for over eight years, and was certified athletic trainer and strength coach.

Fass will be laid to rest Thursday at 1 p.m., at Temple Kol Tikvah of Lake Norman, 605 South St., Davidson N.C., 28036.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations go to the McIntosh Law Firm Trust Account for The Benefit of Kevin Fass, P.O. Box 2270, Davidson N.C., 28036.
