FDNY paramedic Christell Cadet is awake and recovering at home after spending a month in a coronavirus coma, friends said.

“I woke up a totally different person,” Cadet told the New York Daily News. “I’m not the same person I was before this started. Mentally, it makes me look at things different. It makes me appreciate life in a different way.”

The 34-year-old first shared her coronavirus story in March with CNN. She took a turn for the worse the same day and told the newspaper her last memory was she needed life-saving help as soon as possible.
