EMS to Conduct Medication Collection for National Take Back Day

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. — Shippensburg Borough Police Department and Shippensburg EMS are planning a prescription medication collection for April 28.

The collection, part of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Take Back Day, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the police station, 60 W. Burd St.

Prescription and over-the-counter solid dosage medications such as tablets and capsules will be accepted at the collection. Intravenous solutions, injectables and needles will not be accepted. Illegal substances such as marijuana or methamphetamine are not part of the collection initiative.
