911 Center, Ambulances Destroyed in Jeff Davis County (GA) Fire

A fire tore through the Jeff Davis County (GA) 911 Center and a destroyed several ambulances Saturday night.

Neighboring Appling, Bacon and Coffee counties were providing 911 and ambulance services to Jeff Davis County in the interim, officials said.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp toured the damage on Sunday.

Three firefighters were transported to the hospital for minor injuries, Georgia News Now reported. It remains unclear what started the fire.
