A.J. Heightman Shares a Retro Ambulance from his Collection

In tribute to the retro ambulance unveiled by Wake County EMS for its 40th anniversary, JEMS editor-in-chief A.J. Heightman wanted to share one of his favorite ambulance toys from his collection. Made by Nylint, it is the only toy ambulance available that shows the slanted window of the Swab ambulance used by WCEMS in 1976, and it is one of Heightman's prized possessions. Photo A.J.
