London Ambulance Service won the EMS Championship at the first Europeon EMS2016 EMS Congress in Copenhagen Denmark. LAS competed in the final competition today against BOLUS 112 from Turkey and Danish HEMS Air Ambulance.
JEMS editor-in-chief A.J. Heightman was on hand to assist at the competition award ceremony with EMS Championship Chair Anne Lippert.
The championship was patterned after the JEMS EMS Today conference JEMS Games, a competition that started 12 years ago in 2004, in Salt Lake City, which will again be the site for EMS Today 2017.
Members from the winning LAS team receive free tuition to attend EMS2017 in Copenhagen, and will receive free Gold Passport 3-day educational passes to attend EMS Today 2017 in Salt Lake City and compete in the 2017 JEMS Games, under a special partnership between JEMS/EMS Today and the European World Conference.
A.J. presented along with 65 faculty members from 35 different countries. Watch for several reports on this important new conference as soon as A.J. returns to the US next week.
