DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Stat-Southcoast EMS, a Dartmouth, Mass., provider of emergency and non-emergency medical transportation, has been selected as an ambulance provider for the March 18 New Bedford Half Marathon. They will share the detail with Alert Ambulance.
This is the first time that Stat-Southcoast will be one of the EMS providers for the event. The company will work with St. Luke’s Hospital of New Bedford. Stat-Southcoast EMS will provide three paramedic-level ambulances and support personnel for water stops and first aid stations along the 13.1 mile route. In all, Stat-Southcoast will provide 14 personnel for the race.
The race typically attracts more than 2500 runners, with the 2011 field including 2,730 runners.
