Stat-Southcoast EMS adds Two New Ambulances to Fleet

DARTMOUTH, MA–Stat-Southcoast EMS, a Dartmouth, MA provider of emergency and non-emergency medical transportation, has added two new ambulances to its fleet.

Stat-Southcoast EMS CEO Carol Mansfield confirmed that Dartmouth-based company has invested $240,000 to purchase these two new vehicles. The ambulances, which will be put into service for the Stat side of the business, are 2012 Chevrolets manufactured by the Canadian-based Demers Manufacturing.

Stat-Southcoast will also keep the two ambulances that the new vehicles replace. One will be used as a backup for the Stat (Dartmouth) operation and the other will serve as a backup for Stat-Southcoast. In all, this brings the total number of ambulances under the Stat-Southcoast umbrella to 16.

“We selected Demers in part on the recommendation of our medics,” said Mansfield, who added, “We have done business with them before when ordering other ambulances.”
