American International Medical, the international training division of Pro EMS/ Prodigy EMS, officially opened its training academy in Casablanca, Morocco. The AIM training Academy is accredited by NAEMT and specializes in training and accreditation of several training courses, such as PHTLS , FOTS (First On The Scene) and other training related to emergency care , with a wide target audience, medical personnel and the general public.
The AIM training academy has already provided a number of PHTLS sessions, allowing the accreditation of more than 100 providers, and one training session for trainers with the accreditation of 24 Moroccan instructors. The AIM training academy has set itself the objectives of supporting and collaborating with health science training institutes to optimize the care of patients and victims in emergency situations.
The center has two large training rooms, one of which has intelligent and interactive screens, a high-fidelity simulation room, reproducing real patient care situations, an ambulance simulator reproduced at real size, a room immersive with virtual reality and 360° reality and finally a relaxation area. All facilities are modeled on Pro’s Center For Medics in Massachusetts.
The AIM training academy will also offer online e-learning training via the Prodigy platform, which will provide learners with trilingual, English, French and Arabic training videos.
Prodigy EMS Chief Operating Officer James DiClement, Vice President of AIM and Pro EMS Operations Director Rachid Sbay and AIM Chief Learning Officer David Page made the journey to Casablanca for the opening. Additionally all three have been instrumental in the creation of the center alongside Casablanca based AIM Managing Director Anas Sbay.
