LAREDO, Texas — Residents of Zapata County wishing to pursue a career in emergency medical services or expand their current skills will have the opportunity to do so as the EMS Program at Laredo Community College offers a special training program in spring 2012.
For the first time in the program’s history, the Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic Certificate program will be offered outside of Laredo. “We’re extremely excited about offering this one-year program in Zapata County because we’ll be able to provide a service outside our usual realm,” Manuel Ramirez, LCC’s EMS Program director, said.
