Fisdap Launches Compliance Tracking for Educators and Students

ST. PAUL, MN (March 3, 2014) – Fisdap, a software company that specializes in online tools for EMS education, has included an important new feature, Compliance, in the newest release of Scheduler, its internship scheduling software. Compliance tracking provides clinical coordinators a way to manage all the requirements (vaccination records, background checks, HIPAA training, CPR cards, etc.) that students and personnel must complete prior to visiting certain hospitals or riding on the ambulance. Never before have EMS educational institutions been able to manage students’ internship schedules along with their compliance status at multiple field and clinical sites.

The Fisdap Scheduler is an EMS-specific online calendar tool used by hundreds of EMS educational institutions. The Scheduler is designed so institutions can take total control of their students’ clinical experiences, including scheduling repeating A/B/C shifts, assigning preceptors, limiting shifts to specific certification levels (e.g. only paramedics can go to L&D), and more.

The Scheduler is already integrated with the Skills Tracker, the online PCR students use to document their patient care information and internship experience. Compliance gives clinical coordinators one more tool to track students’ paperwork through a website, which can be accessed on a computer or mobile device.

Using Compliance, clinical coordinator can manage sites that have requirement dependencies, control who gets assigned which requirements, and track expiration dates.

Compliance is available now. Any institution using the Fisdap Scheduler will automatically have access to all the tracking capabilities of Compliance. Institutions interested in simplifying their students’ clinical experiences can learn more at www.fisdap.net/what_we_make/scheduler.
