FDNY Hosts West Point Cadets in Terrorism Exercise

FDNY – West Point cadets participated in a functional exercise, entitled in the FDNY Operations Center on Apr. 7, simulating the catastrophic event in New York City.

The students were required to handle every aspect of the recovery effort as they broke into command groups, including operations, logistics and planning – similar to the way the Department’s Incident Management Team operates. These groups coordinated the work of various city agencies as well as the military, ensuring that that the city could get back on its feet as quickly as possible.
