FDNY Annual Medical Special Operations Conference

Lecturers and instructors will include experienced FDNY members, joined by physicians, medical specialists, educators and leadership from some of the country’s other top Urban Search and Rescue teams. In addition to leading hands-on skills and scenarios workshops, these instructors will present topics and discuss past disaster experiences, revealing strategy, equipment, technology and skills that have proven the potential to improve patient care. The MSOC will take place over two days consisting of workshops, lectures, panel discussions, hands-on skills and a vendor’s showcase with some of the latest equipment and products. An optional one day preconference workshop is available that will include a hands-on bio-skills cadaver lab, tactical medical care, wilderness medicine, search canine veterinary care, and a visit to the World Trade Center site.
