ROCHELLE PARK, NJ (February 8, 2024) – Clarion Events is pleased to announce today that the Journal of Emergency Medical Services (JEMS) and the FDNY Foundation have formed a partnership ahead of the 11th Annual FDNY Search & Rescue Field Medicine Symposium (FDNY SRFM).
The FDNY SRFM Symposium, being held May 2-5, 2024, at the FDNY’s Fire Academy on Randall’s Island, brings together medical responders to share their experiences, best practices and ideas in emergency disaster medicine.
JEMS, the leading provider of information and news for patient care in the prehospital setting, advances its commitment to delivering the most reliable EMS information, insightful analysis, and thoughtful leadership with this partnership with the FDNY Foundation, said JEMS Editor-in-Chief Dr. Edward “Ted” Lee.
“Since 1980, JEMS has been the go-to source of information and resources for the emergency medical services (EMS) community,” Dr. Lee said. “Paramedics, EMTs, EMS administrators, EMS medical directors, and mobile integrated health professionals rely on JEMS to advance the EMS field to provide top-notch care to people in need of emergency medicine.”
“Partnering with the FDNY Foundation in support of its SRFM Symposium makes perfect sense,” Dr. Lee continued. “The Symposium has workshops, lectures, panel discussions, hands-on-skills scenarios, and a vendor showcase. When combined, this four-day event brings together the best minds in field medicine to provide education and training to the people who often put their own lives in danger when called upon to act. We look forward to helping the FDNY Foundation continue its mission.”
