Welcome! EMS Today pre-conference kicks off today in beautiful Tampa, Florida, at the Tampa Convention Center.

You will be networking with 4,600+ EMS professionals from around the world while gaining valuable hands-on experience, learning from the leading emergency medical professionals, all while being supported by the most-innovative products and services available to the industry displayed by over 250 companies.

EMS Today is supported by JEMS and runs through Friday, March 6. Monday and Tuesday are our pre-conference workshops, and we encourage you to look at some of the exciting classes being offered.

Join us Tuesday for the National Disaster Response Symposium, starting at 8 a.m., sponsored by Dräger. It’s a “boots on the ground” symposium designed for responders who arrive in the initial moments of any imaginable mass-casualty incident. Leading experts with experience in responding, coordinating, and managing necessary resources will make 30-minute presentations and participate in Q&A panels.

On Wednesday, join us for the Opening Ceremonies and Keynote Address in Ballrooms B &C at 8 a.m. Rommie Duckworth, captain and paramedic EMS coordinator for the Ridgefield (CT) Fire Department will give the opening remarks.

Later on Wednesday — and again Thursday — be sure to check out the Hands on Experience, sponsored by iSimulate, in the Exhibit Hall. It’s a one-of-a-kind, interactive learning lab designed to promote education and engagement between attendees and vendors. Thirteen of the industry’s most progressive companies will have learning labs that will involve an objective-based, hands-on skill, or mini-scenario session staffed with an educator.

Help us open the Exhibit Hall at the Opening Networking Reception on Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m., sponsored by Braun, Crestline, Demers, Ninth Brain, SAM Medical, and iSimulate. Complimentary beer and wine will be served.

Come to Zoll Shockfest at Harpoon Harry’s — right next door to the convention center — for networking, food, refreshments, and a live DJ at 5:15 p.m. Attendees will receive two complimentary drinks.

On Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., check out the Simulation Café, sponsored by iSimulate. Be sure not to miss the exciting conclusion of the JEMS Games Final Competition from 5:15 to 7:30 p.m., sponsored by Laerdal. The top three teams will undergo a 20-minute high-energy scenario that requires managing multiple patients. The awards ceremony immediately follows, where we award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals.

Register for the Breakfast Roundtables, sponsored by Pulsara, FirstNet Built with AT&T, and ImageTrend, at 8 a.m. on Friday where we focus on industry hot topics and provide you the opportunity to discuss challenges and share best practices over breakfast in an informal setting.

There is much more happening at EMS Today, and we are glad you are apart of it. A full schedule can be found here.
