Waterloo (WI) Fire and EMS Chief May Rescind EMS Offer to Town

According to a report from the Waterloo Daily Times, the town of Waterloo may lose the city of Waterloo as an option.

The town of Waterloo currently receives its EMS service from Lake Mills EMS. Lake Mills EMS said it would discontinue that agreement set to expire at the end of the year.

Waterloo Fire and EMS Chief Wesley Benisch said earlier this month the city council should consider dropping its recent offer to the town of Waterloo for EMS service.

“My recommendation is if the town of Waterloo doesn’t take action on (the offer) at their April meeting, that the city rescind the agreement,” Benisch said.

The town board’s next meeting is April 13 at 7 p.m.
