Ukrainian Army Medic Killed in Battle

Olga Semidyanova, a Ukrainian medic, died battling Russian troops on March 3, the Kyiv Independent reported last week.

A mother of 12 children, six of them adopted, Semidyanova was killed by Russian troops on the border between Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia.

The 48-year-old’s death was first reported by the Ukrainian news outlet Pravada Life.

“We know where my mother was killed, between which villages, but we don’t know which people to contact to bring the body home, we don’t even know in what condition, whether she was buried there or sent to the village for burial,” Semidyanova’s daughter Anna told Pravada.

Semidyanova has been hailed as a hero by the Ukrainian government, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
