TX Firefighters on Medical Call Leap from Balcony to Escape Armed Suspect

Houston (TX) firefighters jumped from a second-floor balcony to escape from an armed man while they were responding to a medical call, according to FOX 26 Houston.

The incident reportedly occurred at 11 p.m. Saturday night in the 6000 block of Bissonette, when Houston crews responded to a patient reportedly having seizures.

When they arrived, the patient reportedly only had confused responser for crew members, and then reportedly confronted firefighters with a loaded firearm.

Members jumped to escape the apartment. One suffered arm injuries, while another suffered minor injuries to his face. They were transported to a local hospital, according to a police official.

The suspect is in custody, and charges are expected.
