Two First Responders Injured as NH Ambulance Veers Off Road

An ambulance carrying no patients went 200 feet off Old Candia Road on Monday evening, leaving two first responders injured.

The Candia Fire Department confirmed that the individual driving the unit and the passenger are in stable condition, WMUR reports.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. as the ambulance was returning from a patient transport.

Candia Fire Chief reported that the accident appears to have been the result of the driver suffering a medical event while at the wheel. Despite the cold conditions, roads in the area did not appear to be icy at the time.
