TN EMS Agency Receives Three Donated Ambulances after Helene Flooding

Unicoi County (TN) EMS lost four of its five vehicles from flooding brought by Hurricane Helene. Now it has some help getting back on track.

Northwestern Emergency Vehicles in North Carolina donated three ambulances on an “indefinite lease,” WJHL reported. Other companies replaced equipment lost in the flood.

The ambulances were lost last week during the rescue of dozens of people from the roof of Unicoi County Hospital.

Unicoi County EMS was relying on mutual aid from other agencies before the ambulances were donated.
