A stolen Houston County ambulance led Warner Robins police on a high-speed chase Wednesday morning, causing damage to the vehicle but resulting in no injuries.
The incident began at about 8:30 a.m. at the Middle Flint Behavioral Health Center and ended with the arrest of 29-year-old Brandon Hill, WMAZ reports.
According to authorities, the Houston Healthcare ambulance was reported stolen from the healthcare facility. Police spotted the emergency vehicle traveling at high speeds on Fagan Mill Road. The driver, later identified as Hill, turned onto Houston Lake Road, driving through a field and a ditch, which caused significant damage to the ambulance.
The chase continued onto Russell Parkway, where the Houston County Sheriff’s Office took over. The pursuit finally ended on Carl Vincent Parkway, where Hill was taken into custody without further incident.
Warner Robins Police confirmed that no injuries were reported during the chase. Hill faces multiple charges, including reckless driving, fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, and hit and run.
