Woman, Toddler Rescued from New York’s Hudson River

NEW YORK – A woman and toddler were pulled out of the Hudson River and taken to a Manhattan hospital in serious condition.

Police were investigating whether the woman jumped into the water. The girl is about 18 months old and is believed to be her daughter.

The Fire Department says rescuers were called to an area near 82nd Street at midday Tuesday. The victims were pulled out of the river about 10 blocks south of there.

The Fire Department rescued the woman, and police rescued the child.
