SONOMA COUNTY, Calif. (KTXL) – A paramedic from the Sonoma Sheriff’s Office helped to guide lost hikers to their helicopter rescue, according to authorities.
A helicopter was called Saturday to search for overdue hikers deep inside Annadel Park. The pair was quickly located thanks to the helicopter’s camera and the tactical flight officer.

With no level ground to land, the pilot hovered the helicopter to allow the rescue paramedic to get out of the aircraft.
The paramedic hiked to the lost couple and guided them to a suitable area where the helicopter could land. The pair was loaded into the helicopter and flown to a nearby parking lot.
