Fire-rescue personnel from the Goshen and Malvern (Pa.) Fire Companies extricate a patient heavily entrapped after a two-car collision. Patient care included oxygen via non-rebreather mask, C-collar and IV administration of normal saline. The thoughtful coordination of extrication tactics and medical care is essential to good patient outcomes during prolonged extrications.
