REMSA Welcomes Barry Duplantis as Chief Financial Officer

The Regional Emergency Medical Services Authority (REMSA) announces the appointment of Barry Duplantis as Chief Financial Officer. In his role as CFO, Duplantis is responsible for all finance and accounting activities for REMSA and Care Flight. As a member of the executive team, Duplantis will support REMSA’s mission, be responsible for all financial reporting and forecasting and support strategic initiatives through financial analysis and recommendation.

Prior to joining REMSA, Duplantis served in a number of roles at Ebara International Corporation including Chief Financial Officer, Chief Compliance Officer and Head of Corporate Division. Duplantis brings over 30 years of experience in financial management roles in a variety of industries including engineering design and manufacturing, electronic gaming manufacturing and consumable products. Duplantis received his undergraduate in accounting from Nicholls State University, and a graduate degree in international tax law from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.

Duplantis replaces retiring CFO, Pam Boe. During her seven years with REMSA, Boe enhanced and developed many financial systems for REMSA allowing the company to successfully manage a period of significant organizational expansion due to regional growth. Her expertise with taxation and compliance reporting, and as a Certified Public Accountant ensured successful annual audits and responsible budget implementation, with a focus on patient-care related improvements.
