Paramedic Prevents Woman From Jumping To Death

A woman is listed in stable condition after a paramedic convinced her not to jump six stories early Thursday morning.

Chicago Fire Department paramedic Tom Murphy was at the fire station at 259 N. Columbus Dr. about 6:30 a.m. when a taxi driver drove to the station and said a woman was going to jump from her apartment, according to Fire Media Affairs Cmdr. Will Knight.
