New Orleans EMS ‘NIGHTWATCH’ Crews Coming to EMS Today Conference

The EMS crews featured on the new A&E Network hit television series NIGHTWATCH will be coming to the international EMS Today Conference and Exposition on February 2628 in Baltimore, Md., announced A.J. Heightman, editor-in-chief of JEMS and EMS Today conference chairman.

A&E’s NIGHTWATCH is the #1 new cable non-fiction series in 2015 to date among ages 18 to 49.1

Heightman said, “We were so impressed with the quality of this new series, its depiction of the fast-paced action in the City of New Orleans and the personality and work of the crews on their EMS night shifts, we decided to bring these dedicated EMS professionals to EMS Today to meet the thousands of EMS responders from the United States and two dozen other countries attending.“

PennWell/JEMS, the EMS Today Conference management team, Physio-Control, Braun Ambulances and A&E Network, came together in a collaborative effort to make it all happen. This month, attendees at EMS Today will get plenty of opportunities to meet paramedic Holly Monteleone and her paramedic partner, Nick Manning; paramedic Dan Flynn and his partner, EMT Titus Tero; and paramedic Keeley Williams, a 15-year veteran New Orleans EMS paramedic who responds to assist New Orleans EMS (NOEMS) ambulance crews in a unique ALS Fast Response Sprint Truck.

Proud of their equipment in use by the City of New Orleans EMS system, Physio-Control, the manufacturer of LIFEPAK 15 monitor/defibrillator and LUCAS 2 chest compression system, and Braun Ambulances, the manufacturer of the fleet of specially designed Type I modular ambulances for NOEMS, have each provided support to bring the dynamic EMS crews to EMS Today. Both Braun Ambulances and Physio-Control will offer special “Meet & Greet” opportunities in their booths and at the prestigious EMS 10 awards ceremony held annually at the conference, sponsored by Physio-Control, which recognizes the top 10 innovators in EMS who drove EMS practice forward in 2014.

The five crew members will be at the Physio-Control Booth (#804) on Thursday, February 26th from 57:30 p.m. and Saturday, February 28th from 10 a.m.—12 p.m. They will be in Braun Ambulances’ large exhibit space in (Booth #2109) on Friday, February 27th along with one of the specially designed and outfitted New Orleans EMS ALS ambulances which will be on display throughout the conference.

Stop by in the exhibit hall to meet these new “EMS ambassadors” who are representing our profession on the new, real-life, from-the-streets, reality series. Exhibit hall admission passes can be obtained online at www.emstoday.com, or on site in Baltimore, for persons not already registered to attend EMS Today.
