State and local 9-1-1 professionals, Federal agency representatives and other 9-1-1 stakeholders will participate in a “State of 9-1-1″ webinar and question and answer session, presented by the National 9-1-1 Program, Tuesday, April 14th from 12—1 p.m. ET.
This webinar will feature information about the National 9-1-1 Program’s nationwide 9-1-1 system data collection effort and a presentation about the planning and execution of cybersecurity testing for the State of Alabama’s Emergency Services Internet Protocol Network (ESInet).
The National 9-1-1 Program will share:
“¢ State-by-state 9-1-1 demographic data from the 2014 National 9-1-1 Profile Database report, and
“¢ The status of Next Generation 9-1-1 implementation for reporting states.
Also presenting and available for questions is Mr. Jason Jackson, Executive Director for the Alabama 9-1-1 Board. Mr. Jackson will:
“¢ Share experiences about recent efforts to test the security of the Alabama Next Generation Emergency Network (ANGEN)
“¢ Provide an overview of the State’s success in transitioning all wireless 9-1-1 calls to ANGEN

Designed to bring together information about Federal 9-1-1 activities as well as resources and NG911 “early adopter” case studies, the series provides a unique combination of useful tools, expert advice about Federal and State participation in the NG911 process and real stories about the NG911 transition process underway in regions around the country.
