Medical Chopper Crashes in Yavapai County, Three Hurt

YAVAPAI COUNT, Ariz. — A medical helicopter crashed this morning in Yavapai County.

Jonathan Collier with Air Evac said the crew had flown out of Prescott Airport to pick up a patient.

“As they were landing, there was an incident,” Collier said. “The aircraft is on the ground. There was no patient aboard. Our crew all survived.”

A pilot, nurse and paramedic were on the helicopter. All were taken to a hospital. Collier said their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
