JEMS.com: An Apology

JEMS logo on a blue background.

Earlier this year, we published an opinion article which contained offensive and insensitive material. We would like to thank the members of our community who contacted us to bring this to our attention and to share their entirely understandable reaction with us.

We wholeheartedly agree that this article should never have been published and have since removed it from the site. We apologize unreservedly to our readers.

JEMS plays an important role in the EMS sector. With that, comes a responsibility to support and respect the whole profession and everyone that it serves.

In publishing this unacceptable article, JEMS fell well short. We are taking steps to ensure that this does not happen again.

Sincerely,

Eric Schlett

Executive Vice President, JEMS

NB: The article itself has not been referenced in this apology as we do not wish to promote its wider circulation.
