Indianapolis Ambulance Lands on Its Side After Crash

An ambulance overturned in a crash in Indianapolis late Sunday night, according to Fox 59.

Firefighters and police were called to the scene of the crash at the intersection of East Michigan Street and North Oriental Street at about 11 p.m. and arrived to find the ambulance on its side and another vehicle damaged.

Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services reported that the ambulance was conducting a non-emergency patient transport at the time of the crash. Following the incident, the patient was safely transferred to a second ambulance and transported to a local hospital.

The crew of the flipped ambulance was taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
