Across the country agencies are celebrating with educational events for their communities, special fund raising opportunities for local causes, and events that show appreciation for EMS personnel.

EMS Week Bass Tournament: Participants in this Chattanooga, Tenn., tournament consist of active EMS and first responders fishing to raise money for their local charities, the Forgotten Child Fund and the Paramedic Scholarship Program. Indiana State Police and Fort Wayne Police are investigating a crash involving a TRAA ambulance that occurred late Thursday morning on I-69.

Authorities are investigating the death of Peter Forrest, 64, an employee of Marquee Ambulette, a Nassau County-based patient transportation company.
