Group of Drunks Attack Detroit Medics

DETROIT, Mich. – An EMS crew answering a call on Detroit s east side was attacked by a drunk group of people, according to police.

Robert Olkowski said he and his partner were beaten up outside a home on Haverhill Road where people told a 911 dispatcher a woman was unconscious. One of them was trying to carry her down the stairs. I put my hand on his shoulder to get his attention, said Olkowski.

I was pushed into him. He dropped the female that was sick. I was pushed off the porch and then while I was pinned in the bushes I was hit 6 or 7 times in the face My face is swollen and red. I m sore. I got an abrasion to the elbow.
