Three Hurt When Wayne County (KY) Ambulance Slams into Cow

Three people were hospitalized when an ambulance crashed into a cow and then collided head-on with another vehicle, rescue crews said.

The crash involving the Wayne County ambulance occurred around 2 a.m. Monday on East Highway 90, FOX 56 reported.

An EMS provider had to be extricated from the ambulance, WTVQ reported.

The Monticello Fire Department said three people were transported to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital and Wayne County Hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

The cow died in the collision.
