Pinellas Paramedic Arrested

St. Petersburg, Florida — Police say paramedic Alvin Natal was arrested Sunday afternoon around 4:30 in St. Pete for having crack cocaine inside his personal car.

Natal admitted to officers right away that he had a crack habit and handed over the $10 rock he says he purchased.

The paramedic was arrested shortly after on felony charges and booked into the Pinellas County jail. Natal posted bail the next day.

The 55-year-old works for Sunstar, Pinellas County’s premier ambulance agency.

Sunstar released a statement Thursday afternoon saying, “We are aware of the situation. This employee has not worked on the road for the last few weeks. He is on suspended status.”
