Heart attack patient dies in collision

BROOKLYN — WABC reports that an ambulance transporting a heart attack patient was struck by a fire truck responding to a fire in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The patient died and a family member was seriously injured.

Eight members of the FDNY were also injured.

Two EMTs and six firefighters were transported to Bellevue Hospital.

None of their injuries were reported as serious.
